The midfielder of Manchester United, Christian Eriksen, said that he was “quite confident” that teammate Rasmus Hojlund would turn his fortune without a goal after a 20th game.

Hojlund started the 1-1 draw on Sunday with Arsenal on the bench and was replaced by Eriksen at the start of XI. Eriksen’s first Premier League start of 2025 meant that Joshua Zirkzee led United’s attack.

Hojlund left the bank in the second half and replaced Eriksen with a 14 -minute lead on the clock.

In the first of his two chances, he made the opportunity to benefit from a defensive mix in Arsenal, but he was too slow to react, and Declan Rice made a big challenge to refuse him.

Despite his target gap, which shows no signs of the end of the end, Eriksen is optimistic that Hojlund will be “good” in Old Trafford.

“I am quite confident that he will be good,” said Eriksen to Sky Sports. “He is a hard -working guy and he is unhappy if he doesn’t score goals.

“But you can call about ten other players in the team who don’t score enough goals. He is a good child, he will be fine.”

United took the lead directly at half-time through a wonderful free kick from Bruno Fernandes, who achieved his seventh Premier League goal of the season and his 13th in all competitions.

On Fernande’s free kick, Eriksen said: “Very good, glad that the wall was a few meters away! They saw how far they were back and it was advantageous for us.

“We had relief from the fans in the stadium after the goal.”
