McClain, Ayers, the Japanese astronaut Takuya Onishi and the Russian cosmonaut Kirill Peskov -both veterans -Commercial Airline -Pilot -replace the crew 9 Commander Nick Hague, the cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov, the Sternliner Barry “Butch” Wilmore and his pilot, Sunita Williams.
Last September, three other crew members, Kosmonau -Aleksey Ovchinin, Ivan Vagner and Nasa -Astronaut Donald Pettit, started the ward. You will return to Earth next month.

Wilmore and Williams were launched on June 5th on June 5th on the first piloted test flight by Boeing’s Starliner Astronaut Ferry Ship. The flight was originally supposed to take about eight days.
But during the rendezvous with the space station, the Starliner had problems with the drive system and NASA concluded to bring the crew to the Boeing spaceship.
Instead, the astronauts were told that they should stay on board the station while the Starliner returned to Earth alone. NASA then opened two astronauts from the next station – Crew 9 – two seats for the use of Wilmore and Williams.
When Hague and Gorbunov reached the train station, Wilmore and Williams joined them to carry out part of Crew 9 for a normal six -month tour.
Now that the crew 10 has arrived, Hague, Gorbunov, Wilmore and Williams will help to familiarize their replacement with space station before returning to earth with a splash near the coast of Florida next week. NASA announced on Sunday that it was planned for the return journey on Tuesday, with the extinction planned for 1:05 a.m. ET and Splashdown around 6 p.m.
“NASA and SpaceX got to know each other on Sunday to evaluate the weather and the Splashdown conditions off Florida’s coast for the return of the crew 9 mission of the agency from the international space station,” said NASA in a statement.
“Mission managers are aiming for an earlier opportunity to crew 9, which is based on the favorable conditions (predicted) for the evening of March 18. The updated return destination continues to be the members of the Space Station Crew Members time to meet handover obligations and at the same time enable operational flexibility before less favorable weather conditions are expected for a later week.”

If everything has to plan, Wilmore and Williams have 286 days in space since the start of the start last June. During a long flight according to standards, it is still good for a single flight in front of the US record-371 day von Astronaut Frank Rubio in 2022-23.
Ironically, Rubios was the result of another expanded mission that was due to the result of a large coolant treck in the Russian Soyuz, which he started on board. The Russians decided not to bring the crew on board their original spacecraft and instead started a replacement.

In view of Williams’ two earlier stays on board the space station, depending on the actual start date, it will be number 2 on the list of experienced US astronauts with around 570 days in space. Only the former astronaut Peggy Whitson has more time among us astronauts: 675 days over four flights.
