Ian Holloway signed a new contract to keep it in Swindon Town by summer 2028 and to end the weeks of speculation.
After Holloway has transformed a desperate descent into dreams of the competition with the sides above, he contributed to transforming the city’s campaign and creating it for the future.
The fan asked the 62-year-old to conclude a new contract, and he has had negotiations on one since January and now he has agreed to a three-year contract.
After the former Blackpool had signed the contract this morning, he went to Talksport and announced that he would stay with Swindon.
He said: “Glenn Hoddle did it [took Swindon to the Premier League]Osi Ardilles, Paolo di Canio, they are legends here and they had some great things.
“We are not nearly where we should be for the size of the club. I just signed my new contract for three years, so you have to put up with me for three years if I can take so long.
“We are at the end of the pyramid and have to do something about it.
“The fans have had all kinds of sticks for 15 years and I want to try to bring some good times. We are not nearly that.
Although Holloway signed the contract, the club still has to announce it because there is still some rubber stamp to do, but it will now be at the top for the next three seasons.
Although he had not fully agreed to a new deal to date, Holloway had already planned the long -term future of the club and his vision for where the club should turn the key in the negotiations.
He said last week: “I plan much longer than next year.
“All of these things take some planning and that’s all I do, I don’t intend to be here at all next year.
“All of this is nonsense with what everyone else wants to think:” Why didn’t you do that? “Why do you add two and two and get 500?
“It’s not about it and I would not have said what I wanted to do if I didn’t mean it, so it’s just a matter of time.
“In the meantime, we still do all sorts of things to make sure that we are in the right place and polish and seem, since sometimes they have to pick up the dirt first.”
