Lisa Eldridges most trustworthy make-up look? It’s a classic

From Rihanna to Taylor Swift there is hardly a celebrity that has not yet decorated her make-up chair, but how did she choose a look when the red carpet was her own?

“I was deeply humble to accept my MBE, and the day was clearly a big deal for me!

“I was wearing a veil, so I wanted my skin to look as bright as possible.

Eldridge admits that the investment ceremony felt it “incredibly nervous” when it usually feels unhappy and completely comfortable in front of the camera. She was the first professional makeup artist to launch a YouTube channel for the starter. It speaks to Eldridge’s character that she donated 100 percent of her YouTube advertising revenues for charity organizations from women (up to 200,000 GBP) and that she is recently a global first on the new best-starting rouge experience lip, without it being used in his packaging.

However, her make-up routine provided a basic element for procedures and it is a self-confidence ritual that also brings it to life under her prominent customers. “I saw how the most shy of customers draws strength and inner strength from make-up,” she enthuses. “I saw how people grow almost in stature is the psychological advantage of make-up and something I saw first-hand.”

It is not just that others feel “enabled and encouraged” to motivate Eldridge: from writing a bestseller of the New York Times (facial color, a history of make-up) to design make-up looks (her first was Eva Greens make-up for Tim Burton Dumbo), her interest in beauty is also academic, creative and always future-oriented.

As a tetrachromat, Eldridge feels a “fourth dimension” of color, which means that it can see up to 100 million more colors than the average person. To say that your eye is demanding is an understatement, but it practices your craft on “as many faces as possible”, which has helped her to improve her skills the most. “Every single job, big or small, was a chance to connect, connect and create. By constantly exercising you really learn how to structure a face. For me, it is now like short form; I can read the face of a model as soon as you come through the door!”

In her most important career moment, aside, your make-up sees it on the big screen. “Tilda Swinton watching that the lipstick of my true velvet band in the room next door was a real milestone. Director Pedro Almodovar easily takes the selection of colors in his films. Really special.”

Eldridge receives the same sensation “every time someone is concerned, or I see a review of the effects that my make-up had on them.” She may be Beauty Royalty, but she remains modest, including, wet hands.
