Ortecoglou hopped down the touch, his hands on his head, his face a mask of inevitable unbelief.

It was the last minute of stoppage time, and Kaua Santos, the goalkeeper of Eintracht Frankfurter, had just pulled out another acrobatic rescue in front of Tottenham, who stretched to tap Micky van de Vens Haubsam’s header over the latte.

The save made sure that Frankfurter will take a 1-1 draw in Deutsche Bank Park for the quarter-finals of the Europa League next Thursday, and ironically stated that the “football gods” had left his side in the first leg in North London.

Spurs did more than enough to win the game in a promising performance, and the Rangey Santos, who stood for injured Frankfurt captain Kevin Trapp and also saved himself from Heung-Min, James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur, while the Uruguayan and Lucas Bergvall burdened the bar in the second half in the second half.

Bergvall’s strike was a breathtaking, long -term effort that would have been a leading goal of fighting competition if he had sneaked under the woodwork.

As it was, Pedro Porros canceled beautiful, cut finish Hugo Ekitikes strike in the sixth minute to leave Frankfurt as the content of the two sides.

“We are very satisfied with the game how things went with our experience and the end result,” said Frankfurt boss Dino Toppmöller.

“We have laid a good basis for at home in front of a full house against Tottenham next week. We are really looking forward to it.”

With away destinations that are no longer counted in Europe, the game is effectively a unique for a place in the semi -finals next week, on the FK Bodo/Glimt, the Lazio at home with 2-0 in the first leg are the most likely opponents.

Postecoglou admitted that he was “frustrated” about the result, but the head coach under pressure was able to be able to make a performance in front of his foot, which indicates that there is still a lot of life in his trace team.

“If we can repeat the next week and there is no reason why we can’t, we give ourselves a good chance,” he said.

“I really felt that we overwhelmed you with our football, with our running and with our press. It was not just the chances we created, but the opportunities we almost created.

“We have to go there and now fight to get what I deserved this evening and we will try to do that.”

Postecoglou then moved out of mountain Vall, Bentancur and his whole back four with the name, while they claimed that the three front three were “really creative”.

If the Australian together with his team’s ability to deal with a wild atmosphere in Germany, it was certainly the ineffectiveness of his broad players, neither son nor Brennan Johnson somewhere most effective.

“We had their wingers under control,” said Toppmöller openly.

Johnson is primarily a striker, but missed his great opportunity and blazed a shot from Djed Spence in an identical position to his opening goal against Southampton on Sunday. It was another missed opportunity where Poseteclou hopped frustrated.

“With people like Mathys [Tel]DJED and Pape [Matar Sarr] When we could really get dressed, “said Postecoglou and reflected the chance.

In the meantime, the son was involved in the equalization and sent a clever pass to the Channel for Dominic Solanke, but it was a further sub-par-representation of the South Korean committee, which corresponded to Harry Kane’s record of 67 European appearances for Spurs.

“We managed to keep his son under control,” added Toppmöller. “He didn’t manage to take his runs inside.”

In view of his experiences and quality, Spurs needed more of her captain, whose only chance was a shot near Santos, and he has to increase his game next week on his last return to Germany, presumably after he rests on Sunday visit.

Frankfurt is surrounded by comfort from home and can be more adventurous in the determination after it is set up on the counter punch on Thursday evening, even though Poseteclou predicted a “Cagey affair” that was decided by “moments”.

If he is right, there is still no better moments as a son as a son in the trace squad, and for all of his fights this season, the 32-year-old remains able to score a goal or nothing to help.

The quality of the son and a little more help from the deities are likely to be decisive for Spurs’ hopes of preserving their season in Germany.
