Katy Perry, Gayle King and the purely female Blue Origin Crew have made their trip to space.

The purely female crew, including pop star Perry and TV personality king, are certainly back on earth after they have reached space on board the blue original rocket from Jeff Bezos.

The crew also included Bezos’ fiance Lauren Sánchez, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, the bioastronaut research scientist Amanda Nguyen and the film producer Kerianne Flynn.

The women were the first purely female crew in space since 1963 when they fell from West Texas this morning.

After the 11-minute flight, Sánchez was the first crew member to end the capsule, followed by Perry, who kissed the ground and thanked Bezos, who was waiting to welcome the women back.

King also planted her lips onto the floor after she had stepped out of the capsule.

“I only want to have a moment with the floor and only appreciate the ground for a second,” she said according to the BBC. “Oh my god, that was incredible.”

During the flight, Perry sang a reproduction of Louis Armstrongs what a wonderful world.

When asked why she chose the song, Dark Horse’s hit maker said that it was “a collective energy that has space for future women, it’s about wonderful world that we see there”.

Perry also noticed that after the flight she felt “great connected to life” and added that she could “no longer recommend this experience”.

In the meantime, Sánchez said that she was “so proud” on the crew and added: “I can’t put it into words.”

“I looked out the window and we could see the moon,” continued the journalist and the commercial astronaut. “The earth looked so calm. It was quiet, but really alive.”

Flynn then shared: “It was the most incredible experience of my life to be up there to see such a great darkness in space.”

The film producer noticed that they told him when her son told his friends, she told him: “Mothers don’t go into space”.

“This mother went into space,” she added with a smile.
