The military in the United States and Great Britain choose Rocket Labs Hüilwerfer to test Hypersonic technology

Rocket Lab becomes an even larger player in the world of hyperschall technology.

The military of the United States and the United Kingdom have chosen the company based in California as a potential partner for their billion -dollar programs that are devoted to the establishment of hyperschally technology.

Rocket Lab can now compete for contracts via the two programs and offer the services of its suborbital rocket as a hyper.

“The ability to contribute to the collective security of the United States and the United Kingdom in these two important programs is a proud moment for the hurry team, and a demonstration of Rocket Lab’s commitment, from the front when it comes to innovative and unique solutions for hypertic technology development,” said the founder of Rocket Lab and CEO Peter Beck in a statement on Monday.

“Keeping up with global developments means more affordable tests at a higher speed that extends the limits of hyperschall technology – and this is a ability that we already have with a hurry in a platform at a commercial price and a cadence that serves the mission of both nations,” he added.

The US program is an Air Force, referred to by the Air Force, which is known as an Enterprise-Wide Agile Acquisition Treaty. The British Project of the Ministry of Defense with the name Hypersonic Technologies & Capability Development Framework has a budget of £ 1 billion (approx. 1.3 billion US dollars), according to Rocket Lab.

Hurry is a modified sub orbital version of the Workhorse Electron Launcher from Rocket Lab – and the connection is in its name, which is short for “Hyperic Accelerator Suborbital Test Electron”.

Hess has started three times from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport in Virginia. Further starts are in the near future in TAP, some of which will help to test different technology for the US military.
