Lady Gaga fought through microphone problems during her second coachella performance on Friday evening.
The bad romance hit maker had technical problems with her headset microphone during the second song of her set – her latest single Abracadabra.
The sound quality in the microphone dipped and she managed to temporarily repair it by holding the mouthpiece in place. However, it started to cut – which meant that the fans could not hear some of the texts – and their voice was overtaken by the backing vocals.
Gaga was suspended high above the stage and was sitting on a high cage structure that looks like the skirt of a dress, which means that she had to continue with the faulty microphone until she could get to her technical team.
The Poker -Face singer later disappeared into the structure and reappeared below, this time with a replacement handheld microphone. She continued the chunky handheld version for the rest of Abracadabra and the next song Judas.
The pop superstar went off the stage and returned to her track with a new headset microphone, but her sound problems did not stop here. The audio was not clear and Gaga had to stop her mouth.
Her technical problems were finally fixed when she went off the stage again and returned with a new headset microphone for her song Garden of Eden.
According to the sun, the 39-year-old spoke to the malfunction at the end of her set and told the crowd: “I’m sorry that my microphone was broken for a second. At least you know that I sing live. Everything I can do is do my best to you tonight.”
Gaga’s coachella set also showed hits like born in this way, flat, Alejandro and Paparazzi.
Coachella continues this weekend in Indio, California, with headliner sets from Green Day, Travis Scott and Post Malone.
