Thousands of telephone charging devices that have been called back via the risk of fire

Around 430,000 wireless portable telephone charging devices are called back after their makers, Casely, received 51 fire risk over the product’s lithium-ion batteries.

The US Commission for Consumer Products published a message about the risk on Thursday and found that six minor burning injuries that were bound by the load on the chargers were reported.

The recall comprises around 429,200 Casely Power Pods 5000mAh.

The charger model was sold in a variety of colors and prints and available for online at Amazon, the company’s business at Getcasely.com and other digital retailers between March 2022 and September 2024. According to CBS News, the products usually cost between 30 and 70 US dollars.

The word “Casely” is engraved on the right side of the plate, and the model number – E33a – is printed on the back.

The power pods can be used with different devices.

Consumers who have bought the called back items is recommended to adjust them immediately and contact Casely in order to receive a free replacement, according to the recall notice. Proof of purchase is not necessary, said the company.

The company based in Brooklyn, New York, has also announced that you contact all known buyers directly.

In order to get a free replacement, customers have to fill out an online form on the Casely website and comply with other instructions, including uploading photos of their recalled device.

Customers should not throw lithium ion batteries into the garbage or recycling waste buckets and instead turn to their local endangered waste collection center to dispose of instructions for secure disposal of the recalled chargers or their batteries.
