The oldest active Astronaut of NASA has recently returned to Houston in orbit.
Don Pettit arrived in Space City on Sunday (April 20), which happened to be his 70th birthday.
It was a day after Pettit and his two cosmonaut colleagues Aleksey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner put on the steppe of Kazakhstan in a Russian Sojuz capsule and brought their seven -month international space station (ISS) mission (ISS) to the end. (It was Sunday in Kazakhstan when the trio landed, so Touchdown Technically appeared on the pettit’s birthday.)
Pettit looked somewhat uncomfortable in a NASA show when the members of the restoration team got it out of the Sojuz. But that was nothing you had to worry about, the NASA officials told us on the day of the landing.
Pettit “is good and in the area of what is expected for him after return to earth,” said the agency about an update to X on the late Saturday.
In this article, the NASA officials found that Pettit had a hard time landings. Or rather, you let Pettit make this point yourself and quote an interview that the astronaut gave a TV station from Oregon from ISS on April 16: “This is a physiological thing. It affects different people in different ways. Some people can go out and eat and dance pizza, it takes about 24 hours to feel like a person.”

The time seems to have made its usual healing trick, because Pettit now looks happy and healthy: The X -Post from NASA about his arrival in Houston shows a photo of the astronaut who smiles and waves when he leaves the plane that flew it there.
Pettit spent a total of four different space missions 590 days before Earth. The astronaut is known to space enthusiasts for his breathtaking orbital photography, which he often divides through social media.
