The title competitor Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will start their French Open campaigns on Monday, as the triple reigning champion Iga Swiatek hopes that a return to Roland Garros can shake them from a break-in.

Alcaraz defeated Sünner a little more than a week ago in straight sets in the Italian Open final when the Italian world returned number one from a three-month doping ban.

The Spaniard repressed the sinner last year in the semi -finals in Roland Garros in five sets and believes that the two -time incumbent Australian Open Champion will be an even greater threat to his crown in Paris after he had thrown off the spinning washers in Rome.

“The level at which he (Rome) played is crazy after three months without players without playing a tournament,” said Alcaraz.

“I’m pretty sure that he will get better and better.

“If he wins in Roland Garros and he goes on, I think he is much better, he will feel. He will be a really dangerous player in Paris.”

In the first place for Alcaraz is the Italian qualification feature Giulio Zeppieri, who replaced the injured Kei Nishikori in the draw.

Sinner is the focus of the night session against the Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech, who can expect to enjoy a large part of the support among the lights on Court Philippe Chatrier.

It is the first of two consecutive potential French opponents for sinners to meet the retired Richard Gasquet in the second round. The 38 -year -old gasquet records another wild card, Terence Atmane, in its 22nd and last Roland garro.

“It will definitely be different,” said Sinner about the atmosphere that was expected in Paris after receiving a warm welcome in front of the home fans in Italy.

“It was great after three months had come back and the final achieved. It was my first grand finale on Clay, which should not underestimate because we worked a lot for it.”

But he warned against expecting the French Open too much.

“There are no miracles. I need some time. The matches differ from exercise sessions,” said Sünder. “There is a lot of space to improve.”

Sinner served a suspension for the two -time test in March last year for traces of the forbidden anabolic steroid close clamps. The doping authorities accepted that this was the result of accidental contamination with his physio.

– Swiatek rules under threat –

Swiatk, like her Idol Rafael Nadal in Roland Garros, has proven to be almost inviolable, where she depends on a 35:2 win loss record in six trips.

But their fights have been well documented since the last of their four French Open titles and the pole has been without a trophy for almost a year.

She has dropped to fifth place in the world rankings and has lost her aura of invincibility on the red dirt.

However, Swiatek gave her earlier exit from the Italian Open at the beginning of this month to prepare for Paris and she said she used this time well.

“You know, right now I had the feeling that I had the most peaceful time to practice since the beginning of the season,” Swiatek told AFP last week.

“It went great. And I feel really good on a practice courtyard. We worked on some details in my serve and my forehand. But overall it looks great. I only have to implement it during the games.”

Swiatek starts her title defense against Rebecca Sramkova of Slovakia.

The four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka, who had a game against Swiatek a year ago in the second round in Roland Garros, has a tough opening game against the 10th Seed Paula Badosa.

The Australian open master Madison Keys plays the Australian qualification Daria Saville in the first round. The former Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina also plays a qualification game in Argentina Julia Riera.

Stan Wawrinka, the French Open Champion 2015, will be exposed to the Spanish qualifying game Albert Ramos-Vinolas against the British Jacob Fearnley against the two-time quoted Casper Ruud.

Holger Rune, the only man who hit Alcaraz this year, competes against Roberto Bautista Agut. The fourth seed Taylor Fritz and 2021 finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas are also in action.

Emma Raducanu has been scheduled for her first appearance by Roland Garros since her debut in 2022, where he takes over China’s Wang Xinyu.
