Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri shines at the full debut, while England U21s waned to Portugal

Ethan Nwaneri was his full debut in England U21 with a goal in her 4-2-friendly victory over Portugal at the Hawthorns.

The Arsenal boy was particularly impressive and it only took 10 minutes to open its account.

Hayden Hackney had opened the goal for the hosts, but Fabio Silva reduced the deficit for Portugal in the 22nd minute.

Omari Hutchinson, who was sent against France three days ago, added to England’s third before Carlos Forbs pulled a five -minute lead for Portugal, but Jaden Schilogene ensured victory in the additional time.

England was almost a third when Hutchinson was struggling with Joao Carvalho and it seemed until Joao Muniz cleared the line.

Portugal was also impressive in the future and they finally had their reward in the first period – Southampton’s Mateus Fernandes discovered the run of Rodrigo Pinheiro and his cross was typed home by Silva.

Portugal should have been possible soon afterwards. Beadle’s quick thinking poured Silva, but the ball fell out Gustavo Sa with the goal, but he saw how his efforts had crashed from the post.

The game was brought back into life when Carsley made five ERS substitutions in the second half and soon had a third.

CJ Egan-Riley jumped from a corner at the highest and led a header into the way from Hutchinson, which could nod home up close.

Borges fell back for Portugal, but philogenic rounded off the night with his fourth goal for the under 21.
