Bukayo Saka was confronted by Real Madrid, captain Dani Carvajal, when he made the tunnel down in the Bernabeu at the halftime of Arsenals.

The incident came after Saka missed a penalty in the first half in the quarter -finals of the Champions League.

Saka was redeemed with Courtois in the second half, with Arsenal being over a total of 5: 1 to reach the semi -finals of the Champions League for the third time.

During the half -time break, however, a heated moment came when the players went down the tunnel. Saka was approached by Carvajal, who grabbed the winger and said a word in his ear.

Carvajal, who is currently injured, then pulled Saka back to him after turning to go away. Saka reacted angrily before Carvajal grabbed him on his neck and tried to follow him.

Saka then turned to Carvajal before the players were separated, with the security and arsenal officials entering to block Saka and allow him to go down the tunnel.

The Arsenal replacement Ben White was also involved in saying Carvajal that he should go away. The 33-year-old Spain defender finally left Saka alone.

Carvajal had marked Saka during the euro 2024 final, where Spain defeated England in Berlin. He looked at a point to Goade Saka by making a “crying” gesture after a foul.

Saka, however, was able to shake off his penalty mission and to control Arsenal in the direction of the semi-finals with a composed finish in the second half.

After that, Saka was clearly relieved, but explained that he believed that despite his penalty flour in Bernabeu, he would score a goal, while manager Mikel Areta joked that he wanted to “beat” at the time.

“It can happen,” Saka told TNT Sports. “I tried something, but it didn’t work. I was confident that I would score a goal tonight. I am learning at every moment. Tonight I concentrate more on enjoying the victory and then I will check it properly.”

Areta said: “I would have liked to do it. But the player has to make the decision and he was brave enough to do it.

“That could have been an emotionally a turning point in the game because there was a lot of faith. But then the way he dealt with the situation was incredible.”
