China has just presented the three astronauts that started on April 24 on board Shenzhou 20 to the Tiangong space station.
The Shenzhou 20 mission will be launched on Thursday at 5:17 p.m. EDT (0917 GMT; 5:17 p.m. Beijing) on Thursday in a long rocket by Jiuquan Satellite Start Center (0917 GMT; 5:17 p.m. Beijing) and the spaceship on a 6.5-hour trip to the Tiangongon station in Low Earth or Low or in Low Earth or in low Earth or inserts.
The crew was announced on Wednesday (April 23) by the China Mann Space Agency (CMSA) at a press conference in Jiuquan.
Being the mission will be Dong and will make his third flight a space and second as commander after led the Shenzhou 14 mission to Tiangong in 2022.
“This will be my third mission and I’m still incredibly excited,” said Chen Dong, China Central Television (CCTV). “On the one hand, I am immensely proud and honor to go another space for my country. It is a great privilege and a great pleasure. On the other hand, I have greater expectations. According to Lin Xiqiang, spokesman for the CMSA, the trio will spend about six months in orbit on board Tiangong after a defined pattern for missions is considered to the space station. Your activities include extrave-hikular activities (EVAS) or space weights, implementation of spatial and application experiments, the treatment of freight deliveries, the installation of payloads and devices outside of Tiangong and implementation of popular and outreach events.
The mission will be the ninth occupation mission in Tiangong, and the sixth visit since the three-module orbital outer post was fully gathered in October 2022. Shenzhou 20 will be the fifth mission, which CMSA draws.
Tiangong is currently inhabited by the Shenzhou 19 crew, which will welcome the new astronauts on board the space station. The Shenzhou 19 Astronauts, led by Commander Cai Xuzhe, hand over control of Tiangong to the incoming Shenzhou 20 crew and return on April 29 on board the Shenzhou 19 room vehicle.
