Cybercrime Crew Stahl and then sold hundreds of tickets to Taylor Swift concerts and other events

New York (AP) -According to prosecutors in New York, a cyber -crime crew has resold more than 900 digital tickets for Taylor Swift concerts and other expensive events to Stubhub.

The international fraud included people who worked in Jamaica for a company contractual from the online ticket marketplace, said the district prosecutor of Queens, Melinda Katz, on Monday.

The contractors stole the URLs of tickets that were bought on Stubhub, and sent them to others in New York by e -mail, which they then download and resold them to Stubhub at exorbitant prices, she said.

According to the public prosecutor, the crew achieved more than 600,000 US dollars of about a year for about a year.

The majority of the stolen tickets were for Swift’s Eras tour, but the thieves also increased those for Adele and Ed Sheeran Concerts, NBA Games and the US Open Tennis Championships.

Katz added that the investigators still determine the extent of the company, including other potential co -snacks.

Two of those involved, Tyrone Rose and Shamara Simmons, were arrested and accused last Thursday because he had charged the indictment against the Grand theft, computer and conspiracy fees, the Katz office said.

The 20-year-old Rose was among the tickets bought in Jamaica, the tickets for the emails from Simmons (31) and another accomplice in the New York district of Queens.

Rose was arrested when he visited New York and was instructed to submit his passport, Katz said office on Tuesday. He and Simmons were not guilty and were released until the next court appointment.

Spokesman for Stubhub and lawyers from Rose and Simmons did not immediately respond to e -mails that are looking for a comment on Tuesday.
