Fortnite unplayable on iOS around the world after Apple Move

Fortnite is no longer available on the iOS devices from Apple worldwide. The game developer announced on Friday and accused Apple of blocking his attempt to publish the popular video game for iPhone users in the USA and Europe.

“Apple has blocked our Fortnite entry, so that we cannot publish in the USApp Store or in the Epic Games Store for iOS in the European Union,” Fortnite, which belongs by Epic Games, published on X (formerly Twitter).

The company claims that this campaign prevents the game on iOS devices available worldwide. “Unfortunately, Fortnite will be offline on iOS worldwide until Apple unlocks it,” the position continued.

However, Apple offered the Associated Press a different perspective in a explanation.

The tech giant said that he had requested the epic Sweden to include the app update “without the Us Store chief of the App Store in order not to influence Fortnite in other geographies”.

Apple claims “did not take any measures to remove the live version of Fortnite of alternative distribution marketplaces”.

Sabrina Carpenter recently came to Fortnite as a playable avatar (Epic Games/Pa).

Fortnite’s exile from the iPhone App Store is the latest turn in a years of feud between Apple and Epic. As early as 2020, the video game manufacturer submitted a cartel lawsuit against Apple in the USA and claimed that the technology trendsetter had illegally used its power to acquire playmakers.

After a one-month court proceedings in 2021, the US district judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers decided against most of the EPIC claims, but ordered Apple to loosen his previously exclusive control over the payments that were made for in-app trade, and made connections to alternative options in the USA.

After Apple triggered an appointment procedure last year, which went to the Supreme Court of the United States, he demonstrated a new system that opened the door for connections to alternative payment options and at the same time imposed a 27 percent commission for in-app transactions that were carried out outside of its own system.

Epic released the nose under control in the legal system and revived another round of court hearings that lasted almost a year before Gonzalez Rogers held a stinging complaint last month – the Apple kept in civil contempt and prevents the company from collecting a commission for alternative payment systems.

This judgment has released the way for Epic to finally return to the iPhone App Store in the USA, a re -hiring of the video game manufacturer before Apple before Apple’s last step.

Fortnite’s availability in the EU should get under control in an alternative business for iPhone users – now – now called Epic Games Store. Apple deleted its way for the last year under new regulatory pressure last year.
