The persistence of the Renaissance of the Ivy League-Sloane Ranger Ranger was a shock-one trend that initially appeared on the powers at the beginning of last year, but which continues to go into summer before spring. Anyone who is after the evidence only has to walk along the main street and enter a look at John Lewis or Uniqlo, where both are both the changing rooms of Harrow similar to the changing rooms of Harrow and on television to see the boat race sponsored by Chanel.

America has long caught up its polo shirt, chino and quarter-cin-of-overlords in Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren-now London. Enter our own fresh Prince of Preppy style, Daniel Fletcher, who drives his wave.

I find it, dark hair fell up and wore a uniform of white horseshoes, black boots and a ironed, light blue shirt by Loewe, which leaned on a creamy, asymmetrical sofa in his bright new studio, a stone throw from the shard.

The 34-year-old designer is known in the industry. As a graduate of Central Saint Martins, he began his own men’s fashion label, Daniel W Fletcher, in 2015, was the men’s fashion director of the Italian label Fiorucci between 2019 and 2023. The clothes that surrounds us today, although it is typically in design Fletcher -blue and white striped, cotton -xford shirts, red and navy silk ties, rugby sweaters and shorts of Cotton Boxer -another label: Chinese brand Mithridat.

Fletcher is his incoming creative director, which is commissioned to transform the label. It was founded in 2018 and was tired and more for decorated dresses and strongly decorated seamstress known than everything that was more cool or portable. The switch was obvious when he organized his brand -Runway debut in the brutalist room in London in February.

“It was a wardrobe for a British Rome Com from the 90s,” he says, pointing out to the catwalk and, starting with Chartreuse Mohair knitting, pinstripes and green MIDI dresses with sequins that were carried over short strokes before they are handmade black gowns and ground cassmading, overlap. “There is a sexy preppy ness with elements of the British heritage that is infused with a Chinese craft.” That, he explains, is the USP of his latest endeavor.

“The collection is so drastically different than before, and I don’t want to speak urgently about a former creative director – I think we only have a different vision,” he says.

Will it fly here and abroad? The first commercial test will take place this week, as its Mithridat Designs First Hit-Shop floors has eight physical outposts throughout China and the global e-commerce website is restarted. It sells a 30-part capsule collection that extends from the level of entry and yet more expensive, striped T-shirts, ties and boxers from 139 GBP and increases to larger investments. The sweater inspired by Seemann are particularly beautiful, £ 399, a double breast mocca suit, £ 699 and the inevitably popular rugby shirts, £ 250.

He knocked Alexa Chung as the face of the campaign, his “perfect” Mithridat woman and a friend. “When we photographed her in New York in January, it was the first time that someone had really tried everything on,” he says. “She has such a brilliant way to put together clothes.” With the exception of a Seil -M logo and shirts, where it has embroidered on a sleeve, it is not unfair to say that these designs are interchangeable with those of the same name. Fletcher doesn’t see it as a problem. “I don’t want them to compete with each other. DWF focuses much more on men, while Mithridate focuses on women,” he says.

The rejection of Mithridate would have been hard-had never been offered so many resources, starting with a full-time 50-person studio in Guangzhou. “It’s a dream,” he says. “I can be there in the morning and set up something, and in the afternoon you can show me a toile. For a European designer, this is unknown.”

He visits at least every two months and does the main burden of his design work in London before bringing his core team to China to get through the development. “There is this concept that means” made in China “poor quality and cheap clothing. I look forward to getting these clothes into their hands, trying on them and realizing that they are actually made beautiful and really good quality,” he says.

His trip to China began in Chester, where as a child “I was always embarrassed to say that I was interested in fashion. As a child to grow up in a state school and grow up in a state school and to say that they were interested in fashion, boys were not something that boys said”.

He learned to paint with his grandmother, an art teacher, and wrote down at an art foundation at Kingston University. He studied fashion menswear at Central Saint Martins and had his big break when Harry Styles Harry Lambert ordered pieces from his graduate collection. “Styles was the first person who ever bought my clothes – I sent him five shirts and got a small bank transfer,” laughs Fletcher.

His love for a great shirt continues to serve him well – so if I do not have to think for long for advice for anyone who wants to sharpen her look in the coming months. “I am very in the mixture of something that feels male and neat with traditional ladies -like grades,” he says. “In the show we had a pencil skirt that could feel a bit princess Diana, but styled it with an oversized Oxford shirt and a bomber jacket on the top.”

Then he smiles. “There is also a simple, cheaper way to nail: just tie your jumper around your shoulders and wear your father’s shirt.” Channel you at the polo.
