Mount Etna, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, broke out on the Italian island of Sicily. Reports have described tourists who visit the landmark as a “flight for their lives” when Black Smoke is blowing out of the crater.
Vulcan tremors were felt last night near Mount Etna, which is located in the east of the island. These lasted until around 1 a.m. when they were supposedly the strongest.
According to Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology, the “electricity -Bolic explosions” (eruptions of Magma), the intensity and “almost continuously” grow, whereby the thin ash reports reported in the vetore area of piano.
The agency said: “From a seismic perspective, the values of the tremoramplitude are currently high and tend to increase further.”
According to the volcanic facade center in Toulouse, the cloud cloud has reached a height of around 6,400 meters. The work of the center focuses on monitoring the risk of aviation in order to alleviate the effects of such events on flight paths.
The news will be worrying for those in the region. It can also affect those who have planned holidays in the region. Here is everything we know so far.

When was the last Mount Etna outbreak?
Mount Etna broke out in February of this year and sent a cloud ash and lava from the southeast crater of the volcano, Bocca Nuova (or “new mouth”).
Etna breaks out regularly, with most of the nearby cities and villages little disturbing. Historically, however, there were more powerful seismic events. In 2002-2003, a much larger outbreaks caused an ash column that could be seen from space.
A seismic event in 1971 is buried by the ETNA observatory – for monitoring the volcano – in Lava, while an outbreak in 1928 led to the destruction of the village of Mascali, which was on the slope of the volcano.
Is it certain to visit Sicily while Mount Etna breaks out?
It is generally certain to visit Sicily while Mount Etna breaks out. Its regularity means that the local authorities are well prepared to deal with the effects of ash clouds and lava stream, even though the situation should be monitored.
Some tourists even flock to the volcano to recognize the eruptions, although this is not advised by experts. In addition to the risk of ash and lava, volcanoes can release odorless, invisible toxic gases.
In the short term, this can lead to problems such as nausea and, according to the international vulcanic Health Hazard Network, lead to breathing diseases according to the international vulcanic.

Are flights affected by the outbreak of Mount Etna?
At this stage it is too early to say how the effects on flights will have an impact. Although the outbreak in February was not particularly annoying, the flights from Catania Airport were delayed in the following days due to low visibility.
If you want to travel to or from Sicily and in particular from Catania, it is worth monitoring your airline’s website for further details.
What happens when my flight is canceled?
If your flight to or from an airport in Great Britain or the EU (or with a British EU airline) is canceled immediately, your airline must, regardless of the basis, offer you either a complete refund or a seat on the alternative flight available soon, even if it is a rival.
Contact your airline directly if you want to claim a refund. Be careful that you will do without your right to be placed on another flight.
If you choose an alternative flight, it is your choice whether you take the next available flight with you or travel at a later date. If you decide at a later date, you may be able to assert compensation for adequate costs, e.g. B. the accommodation overnight and the costs for telephone calls.
If you are flown to another airport, the airline must also cover the costs for onward journey.
What happens when my flight is canceled and I booked a package holiday through a tour operator?
If you have booked a parcel vacation via a tour operator protected by Atol and your flight has been canceled, you will either be placed on the next adequate available flight (possibly from another airport) or a complete reimbursement or a rebooking option.
