Botan Ameen said it was an honor for him to play at his age after another excellent exhibition against Bradford City for Swindon Town.

Ameen, who in the first half, terrorized Brad Halliday and supported Harry Smith during the 5: 4 comeback victory against Bradford.

The Iraq Youth International broke into the senior team in the second half of the season and was very impressed in the appearances against Doncaster Rovers and the Bantams.

Due to these displays, Swindon had hoped to build Ameen in a professional contract despite the interest of other club.

Ameen said that he played a great pride for the city and wanted to continue to perform in front of the fans.

In an interview with the club media, he said: “It’s a blessing [to play for Ian Holloway]The way he felt me. I am already in my comfort zone and I have the feeling that I have no pressure on myself at all.

“He only tells me that I should enjoy playing the team.

“Everyone buys what the gaffer says that they can see the togetherness and encouragement by everyone.

“No matter how often we were below, 2: 0, 3: 1 and 4: 3, we did the comeback to get three points from the top of the table. It’s just brilliant.

“It is incredible to be part of it, this was probably my 13th professional game, and such a game enjoyed me every minute.

“I can’t wait to keep the Swindon Town fans up to their feet.

“I can’t imagine the words to describe how I feel. It is an honor to play for this club that helped me on my trip.”

Ameen added that he believes that the experienced players in the squad were a great help for him to adapt to Senior Football.

He said: “It is a massive help to be honest, it makes the transition from U18 and youth football to the first early doors very seamless.

“The things they tell me help me always influence the game.

“They always encourage me and give me really good feedback, even if I have the feeling that I don’t have my best game or training.

“All seniors played a role in this and I am very grateful for what they tell me.”
