The passengers remained stranded across Europe on Wednesday after airlines were triggered in Great Britain.

Hundreds of thousands of people confronted the summer holidays after technical problems were able to close the London airspace for more than an hour.

“We were asked to wait for a phone update over a flight tomorrow, but others were told that all flights are already full tomorrow. It is totally terrible. We probably have to go home and wait when the next available flight is. It looks like we’re missing the wedding.”

The civil aviation authority said that passengers who are affected by the failure of air traffic control should receive “food and drinks” if they are stranded and those who are forced to stay overnight receive hotel accommodations.

However, you do not receive compensation for cancellations or delays, since the error is regarded as a “extraordinary circumstances” and not as a guilt for the airline.

Dionne Ukleja, who travels with her teenage daughter from Heathrow to Houston, Texas, said: “At some point the pilot even opened the flight deck and invited the children to take a look at it.”

“We should take off at 2:50 p.m.,” she said. “We were third in the queue when the radar went down. They let us sit on the asphalt for a while before we asked ourselves to park over the airport next to the concorde. After about 20 minutes we were sent back to the stands.”

In Edinburgh, a group of 40 French holidaymakers was stranded after two flights to Paris were canceled.

Sophie Viud, 49, said she was “depressed” when her flight was canceled and now had to fly to Milan and then to the French capital on Thursday morning.

Another passenger who did not want to be named added: “It is better that the flight will be canceled than being killed.”

A spokesman for Easyjet said: “We are sorry that Ms. Drury and her family were initially delayed on their journey home because their plane experienced a bird strike on an earlier flight.

“Since your flight was earned earlier due to the effects of the ATC error today, our customer service team Ms. Drury contacted the accommodation and meals overnight for the family and re -book them tomorrow on the next available flight.

“While this was outside of our control, it excuse us, the difficulties that this will cause.”
