Jamie Carragher predicted that Chelsea missed the qualification of the Champions League for Aston Villa.

The top 5 in the Premier League this season will get a place in Europe’s Top Table for the 2025/26 campaign. Champions Liverpool is so far the only team that guarantees itself that guarantees itself, even though Arsenal will join them.

This means that the Gunners only appear in second place from Nottingham Forest on the seventh, with the blues currently taking the final qualification place due to a superior gate difference in the villa.

All teams in the Champions League race still have two Premier League games, so that many twists and twists are expected.

As things stand, Chelsea have control over her own fate. According to Opta, they have 56.3 percent of the qualification as maximum points against Manchester United and Forest will seal their return to the leading competition in Europe.

With a visit to the City Ground on the last day of the season, which developed into a qualification playoff by the Champions League, Carragher has predicted a scenario in which both teams miss a top five destination.

When he spoke about Sky Sports, he said: “Chelsea will be united [on Friday]. It is whether you can beat Nottingham Forest [on the final day of the season].

“There will be a large atmosphere there [at the City Ground on the last day of the season].

“Maybe, even if you can’t get the Champions League football, I think that Nottingham Forest, the last game of the season, will desperately say, almost like a big thank you for the season you had.

“Forest has European football, great achievements.

“I actually think it will be Chelsea and Nottingham Forest who miss the Aston Villa.”

In order for Villa Chelsea to be preceded, you have to make the results of Enzo Maresca better in the last two games.

Tottenham, who has an eye on the Europa League final next week, are visitors to Villa Park this Friday evening, before the team of Unai Emery concludes the campaign in Manchester United, which are unpredictable in Old Trafford.
