The students were celebrated together with the other three finalists at an event in the Golden Swan in New York City, where they could meet with the judges and mix with the judges: designer Christopher John Rogers; Premda Wunderle, creative director of the concept and design of the women’s collection at Ralph Lauren; Henry Zankov from Zakov; Patrik Ervell, head of the men’s design at Proenza Schouler and Michal Plata by Melitta Baumeister.
The other finalists were Cali Kircher von Risd, Olivia Lee von Parsons and Alexandra Kouimtzi from Scad.
Joes BlackBook has been giving scholarships for deserved fashion students since 2011 and has been giving away 240,000 US dollars since its foundation. Former scholarship winners have successfully entered the industry in brands, including Ralph Lauren, Nike, Loro Piana, Jason Wu, North Face, Coach and Carolina Herrera.
The sponsors of the event of the past week included Skims, Alo Yoga, Lululemon, Levi and American Eagle.
