by Ontario, California (AP) – After a long day of rehearsal for her upcoming world tour, Katy Perry decided to read a few books to relax before going to bed.
“I listened to ‘Cosmos’ by Carl Sagan and read a book about stroking theory,” she recalled. “I was always interested in astrophysics and were interested in astronomy and astrology and stars. We are all from Stardust and we all come from the stars.”
But the pop superstar was motivated by more than just curiosity. On Monday she will come to Jeff Bezos’ fiance Lauren Sanchez, journalist Gayle King and three other women in a female blue original space flight area, to an all-round female space. Perry spoke to the Associated Press in her rehearsal area in Southern California on Wednesday, days before she was supposed to leave in Texas for training.
“I speak to myself every day and go:” You are brave, you are brave, you do it so that the next generation inspires so many different people, especially young girls, to go: “I will go to space in the future.” No restrictions, ”she said.
Perry said she “psychologically” prepared for space travel by reading the work from the late Sagan and other scientists.

A purely female space travel seems to be a suitable endeavor to the 40-year-old Perry, whose collection of hits songs about extraterrestrials (“et”) and fireworks over the sky (“Firework”) as well as feminist hymns such as their 2013 hit, “Roar” and “Womes’s World” and “Womes’s World”, and “Womes’s World”.
Perry said that if she does something new or discouraging, she sees starch and self -confidence inside.

Bezos’ Rocket Company Blue Origin announced the crew in February. Sanchez, a helicopter pilot and former television journalist, chose the women who will join her with a 10-minute space from West Texas on board a new Shepard rocket. Perry, Sanchez and King are accompanied by Aisha Bowe, a former NASA rocket scientist, who is now heading an engineering office, research scientist Amanda Nguyen and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
“I feel so grateful and honored and honored, invited and included with this incredible group of women,” said Perry. Whenever she gets nervous because of the trip, she remembers how important it is.
Blue Origin has flown on short hops into space since 2021 after Bezos and his brother had climbed on board for the first trip. The upcoming journey will be the 11th human spatial flight of the company. Some passengers have received free trips, while others paid a strong sum to experience weightlessness.
