London – Kerry Taylor Auctions will sell clothes from the cupboards of two leading actors of the London culture – Marianne Faithful, The Musician and Rolling Stones Muse, who died last January, and Zandra Rhodes, the colorful fashion and textile designer, who dressed Princess Diana.
Both collections will be auctioned in London as part of Kerry Taylor’s broader sales “Passion for Fashion” on June 17th. The visit will take place in the days before the sale at Kerry Taylor Auctions in Bermondsey, Südlondon.

The auction contains 20 pieces from the latest wardrobe from Faithfull, including a John Galliano suit, a tailor-made Alaïa leather coat with a nip waist and a Chloé by Natacha Ramsay-Levi Pony-Emproidered Ensemble.
A black, double satin-Chanel-Haute-Couture jacket from Karl Lagerfeld from 1998 is the most expensive piece in the auction with an estimate of £ 1,000.
Alex Baddeley, a specialist in Kerry Taylor, said that the auction was a celebration of loyalty “not only as a musical and cultural pioneer, but also as a fashion icon, whose personal style with authenticity and despite swing. Faithful, a musician, Rolling Stones Muse and a symbol for swinging 60s – and excess – recorded 21 studio albums and remained a legend far into her later years. She even played in a few episodes of “absolutely fabulous” God.

The 92 Rhodes pieces come from the personal archive of the designer and range from her black felt circuit coat from 1969 to designs of the 2000s and a dress carried by Princess Diana. Each of them was printed and handmade in their London studio.
“A curated selection of my estimated statement items will find new houses around the world,” said the designer.
“Kerry’s extraordinary eye found Chiffon -Davtan from my first collection, pearl evening dresses that were worn by Hollywood icons and license fees, experimental coats, pleated satin jackets and wonderful boho pieces in my Renaissance time in the early 2000s,” said Rhodes.
A silk chiffon dress supported by Princess Diana has the highest estimate in the auction, £ 10,000 to £ 15,000. It comes from Rhodes’ autumn/winter 1985-86 India revisited collection.
It has a hand -printed “buttons and arches” design and is of pearls from hand -controlled. “Princess Diana was impressed in my beautiful Grafton Street shop, right in the most exclusive part of the Bond Street. I personally adapted it and we have created a tailor -made version to your dimensions,” said Rhodes.
Rhodes put the dress aside and kept it in her archive. It comes with a provision letter signed by the designer.
