“Deborah dresses for her dream job to organize late night. She wears more tailor-made jackets and pants suits than in previous seasons,” Felix-Hager told WWD. “She also wears more clothes in the fourth season. I loved showing her incredible legs.”
In Episode 1, Vance wears a red dress by Alex Perry, which Felix-Hager repeats the neckline completely and paired with a vintage-red fur coat from St. John. During the season, Vance also wears decorated blazers from Cinq à Sept, a flower blouse by Oscar de la Renta and a Leopard-Print-Etro blazer.
“Most of the pieces that we have added a lot of sequins and/or decorations. I always love color and sparked for you,” said Felix-Hager.
In the fourth season, Jean Smart’s character will also have unexpected challenges that will bring you into a state of sadness. Felix-Hager opted for “many comfortable cashmere and silk pyjamas” to reflect their mood. In the second episode of the relay, Vance wears a long silk cafts from Boutique Camilla.
“Deborah is on the emotional roller coaster ride this season. We see that she gets into a sadness that we reflect in her costumes,” she said.
Other brands in this new chapter of “Hacks” are Badgley Mischka, Alice + Olivia and Silvia Tcherassi.
Kathleen Felix-Hager has been working in the series since its foundation and has received three Emmy nominations for their work in “Hacks”. The first episode of season four was premiered on Thursday and is now available for streaming.
