“But I thought the group was tactically brilliant in the second half. We knew that they threw body on us because they had to win.
“We wanted to spoil another party and I think we did it well. There were some top performances out there and just very satisfied.”
The fourth gate came from Hackett’s Kühner free kick from Out on the Wing, who took out Nathan Baxter and left the post.
“We talked about set sticks again and talked about how high their goalkeeper is really high,” said Skubala.
“We work a lot of work, we show clips behind the scenes. In the changing room it is quiet, but we show tactical elements and how we can get in.
“We hit Hammo (Ethan Hamilton) higher in the second half so that they would win less second balls and we only looked as if we were dominated.
“The entire second half felt like we were playing in half and it just looked like we were chasing the play-offs.
“Someone told me a status that we had not beat Bolton in 10 or so (eight games), they are a big club. But if they come to Sincil Bank, they must be there or they could be injured.”
