Living story in Dreambags Jaguar shoes, SHOREDITCH

One of my favorite memes of recent times? When women started asking men a few years ago how often they thought about the Roman Empire. It turned out that the answer was mostly “quite a bit”. Which is fair enough. The Romans absolutely smashed it.

For example, look at your streets. They were incredible with them. One of her first in Great Britain was the Erminine Street, known as – are you excited? – Kingsland road today. It runs from the Old Street to Dalston Junction and I think the Romans, who were Gladiatorial drinkers, have loved all the places in Briate in Briate: Saatgut Library, Three Leaves, a bar with shapes for a name, bar -lotus.

This list I cut off is almost as impressive as what the A10 is.

Another are Jaguar shoes, wearers of the best name of everyone and found themselves somewhere at the beginning, both in the figurative and in the geographical area. It was opened in 2001. Or bar valette that is next door.

The longevity of Jaguar Shoes is preceded by her. The full name is Dream Bags Jaguar shoes, a title that comes from a bag and a shoe wholesaler in situ in the 1980s. Fortunately, the original characters remain a memory of a shorteditch before.

What I like about Jaguar shoes is that it keeps a feeling of place. It is neither performative nor expensive, instead a platform for aspiring artists and musicians, fashion designers and other creative activities.

There are club nights in the basement. The bar on the ground floor is colorful and musically with all types of purple lights, murals and sparkling glitter balls.

The last time I was with a group of food people. They had names like “Pink” and apparently grew up nearby. And although cold, the place was nothing more than a platform for fun: pints of warehouse for £ 5.60, lively, disrespectful cocktails for a little over a tener.

The Romans had liked Jaguar shoes. A dormant contribution; Chaos in the middle of the form; An allusion to the old one, which is still relevant in the here and now.

William IV

The 200-year-old William IV, a favorite by City Boozehounds, added a fire list room on the upper floor. It is a charming place on Shepherdess Walk, not far from the Wenlock arms (another good pub) and the Shepherdess café (which was too much closed in 2020, but was not reopened long afterwards without anyone noticing it). Go to the William IV for well inexpensive Negronis, orange wine, hogget chops and wings of the skate.

Molly Mcs

The team behind MC & Sons in Borough and Vauxhall will open a pub in Southwark in the coming weeks. Molly Mc’s vocal spub, it will follow in the footsteps of the other two South London Boozer, with live -IRISH music, spirits and guinness in focus. However, this will be larger in vocals, as the name suggests, with three rooms dedicated to the song – they sound a bit like an Irish attitude to Karaoke.
