According to reports, Marcus Rashford has suffered a thigh injury that is expected until the end of the Premier League season.
Rashford will soon go through further tests because the villa wants to understand the extent of the problem.
The British has impressed the Aston Villa since he was borrowed from Manchester United in January. He scored four goals and supported another six in 17 games.
However, he may have already performed his last appearance for the club because he will miss the four remaining games of the villans.
The recovery period is even narrower for Rashford because it is no longer approved on the last day of the season to face United in his parents’ association.
He had missed the FA Cup semi-final loss against Crystal Palace on Saturday with a reported knock. Unai Emery confirmed that he was injured and Ichte Ollie Watkins, who did not score a goal when the villa was unloaded from the competition. In front of this tie he had appeared in every Villa match since entering the club.
The villa is currently in seventh place and is well placed to qualify for European football next season. It remains to be seen whether Rashford takes part in this campaign. According to reports, he is considering his options before the summer transfer window and hopes to take part in the Champions League.
A return to Man United seems unlikely, since Rashford and Ruben do not see Amorim at eye level. When he arrived in November, the Portuguese had criticized his work rate and his attitude in training, which caused Rashford to leave the club.
Also departing this summer is Rashford’s colleague Antony, who was sent to Real Betis in January after a dark start to his Premier League campaign. However, he enjoyed life in Spain and affected nine target participation in 18 appearances.
