Mexico city organize F1 races until 2028

Formula 1 returned to Mexico City in 2015 after 23 years of absence (Alfredo Estrella)

Mexico City will organize a high amount of the Formula 1 race at a high amount of the Formula 1 race at least three years after the signing.

“We are very happy to be able to tell you that the Grand Prix of Mexico City will continue to be part of our calendar by 2028,” said F1 Managing Director Stefano Domenicali.

“Formula 1 is energy, passion and emotion, and every year the unique atmosphere that our fans have created in Mexico city is one of the most incredible and energetic experiences of our championship,” he added.

The Mexican capital “is the home of Formula 1”, said its mayor Clara Brugada.

The Grand Prix in Mexico city is expected to generate 21 billion pesos – about 1.1 billion US dollars in 2025, said Brugada.

“The Grand Prix not only attracts motorsport fans, but also stimulates the local economy of this large city, strengthens the tourism infrastructure and creates proudly,” she said.

Mexico city is more than 2,200 meters above sea level, and the diluted atmosphere affects turbos, cooling systems and brakes and delivers less air resistance.

Formula 1 returned to the Autodromo-Hermanos racetrack in Mexico City in 2015 after 23 years of absence to the delight of the fans in the Latin American nation.

This year’s Grand Prix in Mexico City takes place from October 24th to 26th.
