Paris – Meryll Rogge collected the main prize of the Andam Fashion Award 2025, whose jury of the year was all about the French touch.
As a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts from Antwerp, who dreamed of being an illustrator as a child, she exchanged color for textile color fields when she moved to New York. After working with the leading designer at Marc Jacobs for over seven years, she was back in Antwerp and worked for Dries van Note as head of the women’s design in 2014 before she went solo in 2020.

The designer Ghent, born in Belgium, shows her women’s collections in Paris.
Some of her pieces were recently acquired by the Momu Antwerp Museum and the Brussels Fashion & Lace Museum. Last year she was the first woman to appoint the Belgian Fashion Awards 2024 as the designer of the year.

She defeated the finalists Willy Chavarria, Alain Paul, Zomer and Egonlab.
In addition to the Cash Award of 300,000 euros, she is supervised by Sidney Toledano, President of the jury, a consultant of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault and President of the Français de la Modenschule institute.
The second-placed special prize, its 100,000 euro money exchange and a year of mentoring from Toledano are Alain Paul, who commissioned a 10-year career for vetements and Louis Vuitton in his Alainpaul brand of the same name in 2023.
The Pierre Bergé Prize and its 100,000 euro money exchange went to Burç Akyol, whose sexual label of the same name married sexuality with austerity measures and flawless tailoring.
He is supervised by Alexandre Mattiuissi, the founder and artistic director of Ami, who achieved the main prize in 2013. The brand came on board as a sponsor of the design competition with this edition.
Also in the runs in this category, which devoted themselves to the emerging creative labels, Jeanne Friot and Mouty were from couple Bertille and Thomas Mouty.
The Belgian designer Sarah Lévy from Sarahlevy defeated the shoes designer Philéo Landowski and jeweler Marco Panconesi to win the 2025 accessories with 100,000 euros and wallet and mentoring by Sophie Delafontaine, creative director of Longchamp.
This year the innovation award was awarded separately in May and went to Losanje, a fashion tech company based in the Central French City of Nevers, which helps brands to implement the use of circular textiles.
The jury of the edition included 11 guest members, including Pascal Morand, Executive President of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, Sarah Andelman and Fashion Documentary Head Loïc Prigent.
They included Multihyphenate actress and author Lou Doillon; Lucky Love, the singer who appeared at the opening ceremony for the 2024 Paralympic Games; Music artist Eddy de Pretto; The founder of the art gallery Emmanuel Perrotin and model, actress and entrepreneur Liya Kebede.
The creative consultant Carlos Nazario were the 2025 group, which, in addition to permanent members, who were mainly drawn by sponsors, were mainly rounded off. Writer and fashion critic Sophie Fontanel and Beka Gvishiani, who is behind the Stylenotcom Instagram account.
