NOa Argamani opened as it was for 245 days from Hamas as hostage when she celebrated the red carpet in the Gala 2025 of the world’s most influential people on April 24th.
Argamani visited the Nova Music Festival, in which Hamas started the terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, which led to the Israel Hamas War. Recently it was difficult for her to take part in the Nova exhibition, a travel exhibition for the festival and the conflict. As she put it: “It was too much to do. Too much to wear her.” But it was a must, she said.
Argamani was separated from her partner Avinatan or said that she was constantly trying to find out where he was. At a certain point in time, she was afraid to know the answer. “I never saw him in captivity. I asked for him wherever I went, but they didn’t tell me anything. I didn’t know if he was alive … I didn’t want to know the answer because it was too much for me,” she said.
“But until my partner, Avinatan or, and all these 59 hostages come back, I won’t heal. I will push forward and I will fight as much as possible so that everyone comes back home.”
Later in the Gala Afer party, Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the anti-defamation League, Argamani as “one of the most inspiring people I have ever met”.
In a tribute to Argamani for the time of the 2025100, Doug Emhoff, former second gentleman of the United States, wrote: “Her bravery has embodied the Jewish resilience and strength even in the worst moments.”
Argamani belonged to a selected group of award winners to give a short speech during the gala. She asked the participants occupied by stars to use their voices and their influence to keep attention to those who remain in captivity: “Help ensure that the world will not look away.”
