Paris fashion herd enjoys one night in the museum

The Louvre Museum is so large that regular guests may not know anything about its decorative art department, even if it shows almost 100,000 square meters in size and thousands of historical objects that range from tapestries and armored suits to ceramics, scientific instruments and bronzes.

Asked if he knows the department.

But now? “I am obsessed,” he said when he broke through the huge rooms, in which almost 100 contemporary fashions and accessories were interspersed with the title “Louvre Couture: Art and Fashion – Statement pieces” by July 21.

The Inaugural Paris Fashion Week Fundraiser Garnered More 1.4 Million for the Museum, and was Attended by the Likes of David and Victoria Beckham, Michelle Yeoh, Isabelle Adjani, Dev Patel, Keira Knightley, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Charlotte Casiraghi and Rapper Doechii, who performed at the after party under the Pei pyramid wearing a flacking yellow skin couture dress from Valentino.

The designers came into force, including John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier, Rick Owens, Erdem Moralıoğlu, Jeremy Scott and Iris van Herpen. She visited her partner Salvador Breed, who was decorated in a dystopian perspective on the Black-Tie dressing order: a futuristic overall of the Bulgarian Demobaza brand.

Van Herpen has several dresses in the extensive exhibition, including one that is installed in the Napoleon III PARTMs. Was the inspiration directly? “A coincidence,” said the Dutch designer, praising that curator Olivier Gabet, the curator of the enthusiastic eyes, establishes the connection. “It’s not more obvious, and I think that’s really nice.”

After the visit, around 350 guests gathered in the Cavernous Cour Marly for a lavish dinner by the chef Anne-Sophie picture.

In view of the scale of the place, which put the guests and the towering flower arrangements in the shade, it felt a bit like 35 different dinner parties. However, a table near the toilets turned out to be advantageous to see a good part of celebrities, designers and models, which were most dressed in the nins, which is unusual for Paris’ events.

Some guests made new hairstyles with chin lengths, including Yeoh and Marisa Berenson, who sparkle in a black sequin Dolce & Gabbana dress and their own jewelry.

“I don’t think I ever had it so short,” she said. “It was time to refresh me.”

Berenson praised that the exhibition was highlighted, like art museums have always been a non -proportional mood board, which can be returned to her grandmother, the fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli.

“She was the first to do that, and now everyone is inspired by this topic, what a wonderful topic I think, because what is more inspiring than art, right?” she said.

Leroy-Beaulieu, who was sitting at the Balenciaga table, wore a shiny, strange black dress, pointed heels and her hair in a wavy, chin-length style.

“It’s not that short, but I have a magical hairdresser who really made it look short,” she said.

In April she will start in the French capital and Rome with the fifth season of “Emily in Paris”.

She was also not aware of the decorative arts and was amazed by the ceramic and jewelry, from which she got an insight. “I want to come back in normal shoes where I can really go.”

The Houston philanthroper Becca Cason Thrash, who organized several memorable galas to benefit American and international friends of the Louvre, pulled her Lee Alexander McQueen -Dress out with a spring -rising pressure that causes the winged victory of Samothrace memorial. She was wearing it for her 2011 event for the first time.

“What I love about this exhibition is that you see art,” she said. “Many fashion people would usually not come to the Louvre and spend two or three hours.”

The French artist Camille Henrot, who has a show at Hauser & Wirth in New York until April 12, was asked what kind of dress she would choose to refer to her works.

“I would choose a brand that has a relationship with the coming of Coming of Age and is not completely grown up,” she said, listing Courrèges, JW Anderson and Balenciaga among competitors. “Fashion must be playful for me.”

The museum said that the Louvre Gala dinner would return in 2026.
