Pentagon warned of the Russian Signal -Hacker infiltration after massive war plans Bungle

Just a few days after the Senior Trump Administration Officer – including Defense Minister Pete Hegseth – added a journalist to a signal group chat about secret military plans, the Pentagon gave a warning that Russian hackers had broken the app.

According to the Pentagon consultant, the officers should hire the use of the app, even for sending not classified information, citing a “susceptibility to security”.

“In the Signal Messenger application, vulnerability was identified,” says NPR.

The advice states that “Russian professional hacking groups use the” Linked Devices “function to spy on encrypted conversations.” It is also found that Google has also identified Russian hackers who are addressing “Signal Messenger” in order to spy on people.

The benefit of signal against other messaging apps is that it is encrypted and theoretically the news of its users should protect against being intercepted by unwanted viewers.

A Signal spokesman informed the Pentagon that his security had not been broken, however, warned that users who fell victim to the basic phishing attacks could still endanger their data protection report.

“After we learned that signal users were targeted and how they were targeted, we introduced additional safety precautions and in-app warnings to protect people from falling victim to phishing attacks. This work was completed months ago,” Signal spokesman Jun Harada told Pentagon.

The Pentagon-Memo contained the note that “messaging apps from third-party providers (e.g. signal) are permitted by guidelines for non-classified accountability/recall exercises, but are not approved for the processing or saving of non-classified information”.

Hegseth and other officials from the Trump administration used the app while planning the bombing of Houthi locations in early March. Even if the safety of Signal is first class, it does not hold any people who are included in the group chat who shouldn’t be there to see the information- Atlantic Jeffrey Goldberg.

In a wild story published at the beginning of this week, Goldberg explained how it was recorded in the sensitive group chat, and watched in real time how the Houthi bomb attack was planned.

Hegseth denied the incident and called Goldberg’s character, but the Pentagon confirmed its correctness.

Goldberg said CNN that Hegseth lied and said he hadn’t published what he saw because he considered it “too confidential” and “too technically” to publish it because he feared that we would expose ourselves to the service members.

Despite the unprecedented violation, Donald Trump insisted that no classified information had been shared in the group chat, and played down the incident before unveiling that “a large part of the military” uses the app known by Russian hackers.

“It’s just something that can happen. You can even prepare for it and it can happen.” Said Trump. “It is used by a large part of the military and I think it is successful. But sometimes someone can get to these things. This is one of the prices they pay if they are not in the situation room, without phones, whatever the best.”

The president said his government would “examine it”.
