In a night that was penetrated in history, Natasha Jonas could not roll back for the years because it was expelled and exceeded by Lauren Price, who dominated her world champion in the world weight to add the IBF and WBC belts to the WBA farmer, which she already has. In her fight at the age of 30, Price is 10 years younger than Jonas and she was simply too fast, fluid and powerful, as all three judges gave her the decision with comprehensive margins from 98-93, 100-90 and 98-92.

Jonas had an admirable career and she was the first woman to be called in 2022 as the fighter of the year of British Boxing. In the end, however, the time does not devastate every fighter and Jonas with the fire of the price, the balance of which was also obvious as an Olympic champion.

The ring goes electrifying for both price and Jonas. Price, the passionate Welsh fighter, was accompanied by the stirring despite Dafydd Iwan’s Yma o Hyd. Jonas soon followed when Beyoncés Run floated the world (girl) around her and strengthened the noise. Price wore black, while Jonas was colorful in blue and gold trunks and flawless white top.

The most remarkable blows of a busy opening of two rounds, for both fighters, came from the price, whose hand speed was far more impressive. In the second occupancy and under intensive fire, Jonas was cut off from a hard right hook, which stumbled across the ring. She already had an old champion that knew that she was exposed to a punishing ordeal.

The black pricing gloves were constant blurring and Jonas looked bullied and temporarily when the heavy blows injured their round after round. As smooth as it was aggressive, the price of rapture was dominated. The age difference seemed to be painful, even when Jonas tried to reset the initiative, Price excited her with blasty counter to win almost every round.

The two women fought for boxing in an atmospheric environment when the Royal Albert Hall opened its doors this month 154 years ago. It offers intimacy and size as well as a deep sense of history, with the circular seats in the group creating an impressive box theater. Doubtful and great fighters have sparked here – including Primo Carnera, the Kray Brothers, Muhammad Ali, Frank Bruno, Lennox Lewis and Marco Antonio Barrera.

At the beginning of a soft spring evening in London, near the back entrance of the Albert Hall in the aptly mentioned Kensington Gore, the confidante offered a sobering memory. Boxing, even on an allegedly historical night for fighters, is full of danger. But the beautiful event location added a cultural shine to the strong Logistics. In the basement, the fighter was communicated that the password “Elgar” – the English composer of Pomp and the circumstance when they needed WLAN.

Another kind of combat it greeted the first boxers, the strongly tattooed Gemma -ruegg and the rich promising Fran Hennessy. At an event location with seating for 5,200 boxing fans, it was remarkable that there were as many women as men who call their support – especially for the fluid work and the crunchy blow of Hennessy, who drove to a shutout win.

Raucous Boing is never far from traditional boxes and appeared early when Chloe Watson, who was trained by Ricky Hatton, lost her European fly weight title in a split decision against Jasmina Zapotoczna.

There are rarely many knockdowns in the boxing of women, but Karriss Aringstall dropped Raven Chapman in round two of her competition for the free title of British feather weight. Aringstall, the former partner of Price, won a wide and unanimous judgment about all three cards to become the new champion.

The extremely flat pool of premium talents is difficult to ignore, but such nights can only help to attract potential new fighters. When the Albert Hall filled around 80% of its capacity, it was important to remember that the boxing of women in 1998 was still prohibited in Great Britain. So progress is made, but this legislation lost a little shine after Cindy Ngamba was exposed to the forced retreat due to medical concerns.

Ngamba, the Olympic medalist of the refugee team, spoke about her concern this week that Saudi -Arabia’s strangling person undermines female fighters. The Riad season has been printed on the gray canvas of the ring, so far there has been no significant interest in women’s boxes from the Saudis.

But the British boxing has a clear future star. Caroline Dubois is the most talented young female fighter in this country and she showed lightning of her enormous potential against Bo Mi re Shin, the hard and resistant South Korean. Both women wore black, but Dubois’ top and fuselage glittered with silver tassels, which matched their additional class and their tension when she switched from head to the body.

In her 24th fight twice as many fights with dubois, shin plowed determined, but with little effect. Dubois’ fast hands and sharp strength she rocked. Then, in the 10th and last round, the champion could be drawn into a dog construction. Dubois suddenly forced it to withdraw when Shin tore itself into her. The Korean landed some meaningful shots and when Dubois fell back, an exciting series of exchanges illuminated the venerable old arena.

Most of the roaring crowd was on the feet when Shin sought, but the knockout she needed could not find.

Dubois, who learned a valuable lesson in these last two minutes, kept her WBC World Lightweight title with a majority decision. Two judges came correctly in their 98-93 and 98-92 rating. The third officer somehow recorded a 95-95 draw in another small impetus that she still has a lot to learn despite all her lively skills.

The night belonged to Price – who is now in a strong position to make its own story as a leading women’s boxer in Great Britain. “Tonight here, what kind of event location, wrote the story,” said Price shortly after the last bell. “But I have to thank Tasha massively. We need perfect dance partners. I respect her for what she did, not only for the boxing of women, but also for boxing. True legend. It was an honor to share the ring with her. “

The price then added: “I honestly think I can be undisputed [welterweight champion]. I want to go on. I want to create a permanent heritage. “

When Jonas said goodbye to this famous old building, she was also able to look ahead. Her best days in the ring are over, but as the first woman who receives a license as a manager in British boxes, Jonas is already building a growing stable of young fighters. She can find a consolation in this new life while recovering from a hard and hurtful night in the ring.
