According to Regis Le Bris, the management of the Sunderland squad is just as important as in the last few weeks of the season, like the head coach that his players are as fresh as possible for the play-offs.
Le Bris was disappointed on Saturday from his team’s 1-0 defeat against Swansea City and brought an unbeaten run with three games for the black cats.
But he believes that his players will have benefited from his squad rotation again, with Sunderland’s boss made three changes for the game, including Harrison Jones, a first championship start.

Sunderland was poor against the mid-table swans, which thanks to Ben Cabango’s gate secured all three points an hour.
Le Bris said: “It is a disappointing result, especially at home.
“We expect more. We wanted to win, but it was not possible, we had a large part of the ball, but we didn’t create many chances. It was difficult to build up under their pressure, they were well organized and to be fair, it was not easy to find a solution. We didn’t find a good rhythm.
“I think we can find different reasons for our performance, but I think it is probably the first thing it is important to manage the squad during this time.
“We have to refresh some players, for example so that we do not hurry the process with Enzo.
“This option gives you the opportunity for Harrison, and a start in the first division is an experience from which you have to learn.
“During this time we are with a certain goal at the end of the season.
“We want to win every game, but we want to manage the squad to gradually build the best form of the squad so that they are available [for the play-offs]. And during this time we give young players the opportunity to grow.
He added: “Despite the defeat, we almost secured fourth place, so we were really good so far.
“Now is the main purpose of refreshing the level and at the same time the players and having a fresh squad at the end of the season.
