Openai boss Sam Altman was barely beaten in Sun Valley’s billionairs summer camp on Tuesday when he was peppered with questions from reporters to Mark Zuckerberg’s competing AMBitions, Elon Musk America Party and his thoughts about the Trump administration.
Altman, who is supposed to take part in the annual Allen & Co. Sun Valley conference this week, spoke a few minutes to speak to reporters before entering the conference site. He was first asked after the war for talent between Openaai and Social Media Giant Meta.
“We obviously have an incredibly talented team and I think they really love what they do. Obviously, some people will go to different places,” Altman told reporters.
“There is a lot of excitement, you could say in the industry. But no, I think we feel good,” he added.
Zuckerberg and Meta have aggressive AI talents of competitors like Openaai. Meta announced last month that it invested $ 15 billion in the data marking company Scaleai. It also added that the founder and CEO of Scaleai, Alexandr Wang, will have joined the deal as a chief ai officer as a chief ai officer.
In addition, Wang is led with NAT Friedman, the former CEO of Github, with the leader of Meta Superintelligence Labs. The team also includes former top researchers from Openai, Google and Anthropic.
Altman said reporters on Tuesday that he had not spoken to Zuckerberg with the poaching of Openais since Meta, but was looking forward to seeing him at the conference.
In a podcast interview, the Openai boss said that he was broadcast last month that he found it “crazy” that meta dangled $ 100 million to sign bonuses for Openaai employees. Altman then said that “none of our best people decided to accept them.”
Altman said on Tuesday that Openai’s approach to staying talents has a “great mission, really talented people and the attempt to build a great research laboratory and a great company”.
Altman: Elon tinkers with everyone
Altman not only spoke about Meta and Zuckerberg, but was asked about his other rival musk.

Altman said he knew little about Musk’s new party, but was not surprised by Musk’s new feud with Trump.
“Elon is with everyone,” said Altman on Tuesday.
Altman came along with Musk in 2015, but her relationship has deteriorated since the end of Musk Openai in 2018.
Last year, Musk filed a lawsuit against Openaai, in which he accused the Chatgpt manufacturer of violating his non -profit mission by partnership with Microsoft. He also gave Altman a nickname: “Swindly Sam.”
Altman said on Tuesday that he was satisfied with the work of the Trump government to AI. In January, Trump and Altman Stargate announced a joint venture between Openai, Oracle and Softbank. The project is expected to invest up to 500 billion US dollars in the AI infrastructure in the USA.
“They really take care of the AI infrastructure and expand them and see how the USA is successful here,” said Altman.
