NASA has taken a picture of an intensive solar flacker published by The Sun on Tuesday evening.

The solar flare reached EDT on Tuesday at 5:49 p.m., said NASA’s solar dynamics. It was an X-class torch-the most intense way, said NASA. Solar torches are essentially “huge explosions in the sun”, which according to NASA energy, light and high-speed particles send them into space.

A picture taken by the sun dynamics observatory shows the sun, which is colored in blue to draw attention to the torch. The torch is visible as a light flash in the middle of the sun. The heat of a solar flacker makes you appear bright.

The energy of Solar torches can be annoying, says NASA on its website. Torches and solar eruptions can affect radio communication, electrical power grids and navigation signals. You can also represent risks for space vehicles and astronauts.

Solar torches are also often associated with coronal masses or CME. Cmes are huge bubbles of the coronal plasma that occasionally emits the sun, says NASA online. CME often look like “huge, twisted ropes”, says NASA, because they affect the magnetic fields of the sun. Coronal masses can also interfere with radio and satellite communication and also cause geomagnetic storms on earth.

In May 2024 a powerful coronal mass ejection brought the strongest Geomagnetic storm In over 20 years to earth. During the CME, several X-Class solar torches flake were recorded. The storm caused some radio power failures. Another strong geomagnetic storm in October 2024 led to the northern lights To be visible to the south of Florida and over bright areas such as New York City and Chicago.
