Sir Ian McKellen shared his surprising admiration for Usher by participating in the singing party in London on Sunday.
The 46-year-old Usher celebrated the beginning of his 10-night residence in O2 by organizing an event with Spotify in the box Nightclub in Soho.
The incumbent legend McKellen, 85, was one of the famous faces who supported the R&B star and posed with the theater producer Simon Hammerstein on Bash.
The Lord of the Rings Star, who had suffered a bad stage in the stage last year, looked smart in a black velvet blazer, a white printed shirt and a black scarf.
Usher was now addressing in a black velvet moking and became danced and ranks with champagne, while he was surrounded by friends at the exclusive venue.
The football star Rio Ferdinand and his wife Towie Alum Kate Ferdinand were also present at the party with stars.
Usher – whose full name is Usher Terry Raymond IV – began his former future tour in August and played his first London appearance on Saturday evening.
The Singer Confessions Singer performed around 200,000 people, put on roller skates, made a handstand and made selfies with guests on stage during his first show.
The concert attracted a whole series of famous faces, including actor Daniel Kaluuya, Model Leomie Anderson and Love Island moderator Maya Jama.
After his 02 shows, Usher will drive to Paris, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam and Berlin before returning to London to end the tour on May 7th.
In the meantime, McKellen has recovered since he was injured on stage last summer and recently predicted that he will not return to the theater for a year.
In June he performed in a production of players in Kings in the Noel Coward Theater in London when he lost his foundation in a fight scene and fell off the stage.
He suffered injuries to the wrist and neck and had to withdraw from the rest of the national tour of the show.
McKellen opened his recovery in September when he appeared in Simon Mayo’s Greatest Hits Radio Drivine Show.
“What I left is not so much a physical injury, but a mental disorder because I thought it was much more serious at that time,” he said.
“I think I thought I would die, I thought I had broken my neck, but apparently I said: ‘I broke my neck, I die’ and when I said it I must have thought it was.
“And I just have to deal with it. I not only die and I hope I will come back on stage again. I do not suggest working on stage for another year, and I think all this will be fine.”
