Transfers dominate Pub Talk and was in a pub in which Richard Arnold, the former managing director of Manchester United, spoke with angry supporters about transfers.

Arnold admitted that United had “spent a billion pounds for players … What happened is that we burned down by £ 1 billion through Duds. That was in 2022. Arnold then registered for almost half billions to finance a few more DUDs.

No wonder Arnold jumped before he was pushed by Ineos. Sir Jim Ratcliffe did not name Arnold as a “Rugby man” in his chats with The Times and The Telegraph in the other week as football. The same accusation was often raised at Ed Woodward, whose enthusiasm for rugby occasionally annoyed Jose Mourinho.

And yet Ratcliffe has a director of the bicycle team who supervises the performance of the most tested football club in the world.

Just last year, Sir Dave Brailsford admitted to the former English Cricket captain Nasser Hussain: “I am not a specialist in football, I will never be.” This would certainly be set by United’s current common position since her descent in 1974.

In the midst of layoffs at United, which will break the 400 mark within one year, it seems doubtful to keep a football board member who is responsible for implementing sleep and meal windows, a moisture plan that recommends exposure to natural light and recommendation of compression cladding.

“Each measure was taken to give the players the best platform to quickly adapt to maximize the performance through the tour,” said an employee in July. The tour ended with a 3-0 defeat against Liverpool.

That could easily be released. Twelve Premier League defeats before March and a goal difference from -3 cannot be.

Ratcliffe used the word ‘cock-up’ four times in the last of his “PR exercises” with the Sunday Times. He admitted that United had been able to maintain the decisions, Erik Ten Hag and the attitude of Dan Ashworth, who had cost the club of £ 14.5 million.

It was supposedly Brailsford who interrupted Ten Hag’s vacation in Ibiza in June to tell him that the marriage of the inconvenience would be extended. During the latest PROFFENVE from Ratcliffe, he confirmed a lot of what had been written that the Power Vakuum had given a presentation at United Ten HAG.

“Omar (berrada), Jason (Wilcox), I, Dave, we weren’t for long. It was only a matter of weeks,” sighed ratcliffe to Gary Neville. Brailsford had visited games since Boxing Day. Wilcox pulled a United suit for the first time on April 21. It was months.

Brailsford will have recommended Ashworth. He was a guest speaker in the Newcastle-Pre season camp in Lisbon in 2022. The Newcastle website refers to Brailsford as a “long-time friend and employee of the Sports Director of the Magpies, Dan Ashworth”.

“I have known Sir Dave for several years,” said Ashworth at the time “working in various sports, and he is undoubtedly the best of world sport to create high -performance culture and to transform this into the profits.

“There were some brilliant messages for all of us and it was great to include him at that time of the previous season.”

Ashworth and Brailsford observed United Zug from the stands of the UCLA. They increased their daily steps in the San Diego Sunshine by taking rounds of the Snapdragon Stadium pitch before the pre-season Friends with Real Betis in July of United.

In our briefing with Ashworth, he wore a similar clever ring as Gareth Southgate, another of Brailsfords Akolythen, wore as an English manager.

Brailsford was invoiced by Ashworth as a “genius” when I spoke to him on September 1st in the Boardroom Old Trafford. Ashworth tensioned about the “rich conversations” that they had during the tenth day of pre-season tour through the United States.

Ratcliffe accused the chemistry behind Ashworth’s defect. Ashworth, who had a success story about the appointment of British management, supported Southgate as a replacement for ten HAG. A separate source said that he remained an advocate of Eddie Howe.

Forget the commendable term of Southgat as an English trainer. He accepted the world of LinkedIn and gave the lecture by Richard Dimbleby last week because it is “a step from football” if he is only known through football. Brailsford was excited.

The former reduction of Red Issue, JP O’Neill, published a 99 questions in the John Magnier and JP McManus style for Ratcliffe and Brailsford last week. The last one is: “Is Brailsford a liar or incompetent?”

In Ratcliffe’s interviews with three Broadsheet newspapers two weeks ago there was no copy of Brailsford in any copy. Matt Lawton, who led the Monday interview on behalf of the Times, noticed two years ago: “I would also question the wisdom of [Ineos] included with Dave Brailsford. “

In 2016, Lawton wrote, then by The Daily Mail: “Sportsmail can show that Sir Dave Brailsford offered this newspaper an incentive to stop the publication of a story about a mystery package that Sir Bradley Wiggins delivered.”

Lawton’s former colleague at The Times, Matt Dickinson, was omnipresent at United Matches Home and Away this season. The former chief athlete records United’s intended revival under Ineos for a future book.

Brailsford has been Ineos’ sports director since December 2021. Without Brailsford in the Coalface, the IneOS ownership in Ligue 1 is currently fourth.

“The best season that Nice had, is the one in which we were not allowed to get involved due to the multi-club ownership rules,” giggled Ratcliffe to the Sunday Times. “You were so much better without our interference! Maybe there is also a lesson there, you know.”

United fans have to wish that they could reject this as a pub.
