An output of the soil system forced SpaceX to postpone a flight to the international space station on Wednesday, a mission that was supposed to replace the stranded astronauts of NASA, Butch Wilmore and Sununi Williams.
The new crew must reach the space station before the two stuck astronauts can return to orbit after nine months.
What caused the postponed start?
Causes regarding a critical hydraulic system occurred just a few hours before the planned start. When the clock went down from Kennedy Space Center on the planned space of the Falcon rocket, the engineers checked the hydraulics, with that one of the two arms that held the rocket on their support structure.
The four astronauts – mission specialist Kirill Peskov by Russia’s Roscosmos, Pilot Nichole Ayers and Commandant Anne McClain from the United States and mission specialist Takuya Onishi from Jaxa awaited a final decision, which was less than an hour before Japan was picked up.
SpaceX has not yet announced a new start date, but found that the next attempt could be on Thursday.
Trump and musk are big
NASA had raised the rescue mission for two weeks after US President Donald Trump and his consultant Elon Musk, CEO von SpaceX, Wilmore and Williams had previously reclaimed to be brought back earlier when the US space agency had planned.
A planned eight -day stay on the orbit for Wilmore and Williams as a starliner last year has returned to earth without it.
The SpaceX rocket was withdrawn from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral at 7.48 p.m. ET (2348 GMT), whereby the four astronauts were supposed to replace the other.
Astronauts remain safe, assure the NASA
NASA has worked for the security of Wilmore and Williams and the two astronauts with the other astronauts of the space station at research and maintenance. In a call on March 4, Williams said that she is looking forward to seeing her family and dogs when she comes home.
“It was a roller coaster for her, probably a little more than for us”said Williams. “We are here, we have a mission, we only do what we do every day, and every day is interesting because we are in space and it’s a lot of fun.”
Trump and Musk tried to accuse the former President Joe Biden for the delayed return of Wilmore and Williams.
Trump and Musk, Wilmore and Williams’ demand to bring NASA back to Earth before the planned March 26th, represent an unusual intervention in NASA’s human space operations. NASA exchanged a late SpaceX capsule with another that would be finished earlier.
When the new crew arrives on board the station, Wilmore and Williams and two others – Nasa -Astronaut Nick Hague and the Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov – can return to Earth in a capsule that has been attached to the station since September.
