SpaceX starts the 250th Starlink satellite mission, lands in Sea (video, photos)

SpaceX started a milestone mission on Sunday evening (April 27).

A Falcon 9 rocket with 23 of the Starlink Breitband satellites of the company inlook 13 with direct functionality-at Sunday at 10:09 p.m. Edt (0209 GMT, April 28) from Floridas Cape Canaveral Space Force.

It was the 250th time that SpaceX had sent a series of Starlink Craft Craft Skyward that found it shortly after the start.

About eight minutes after the upswing, the first stage of Falcon 9 for a vertical touchdown returned to earth as planned. It landed on the SpaceX drone ship “Read the instructions” that was stationed in the Atlantic.

According to a SpaceX mission description, it was the 20th upswing and landing for this special booster. Thirteen of these flights were Starlink missions.

The upper stage of the rocket also did its job. About an hour after the start, SpaceX announced the 23 Starlink satellites in Low Earth Orbit (Leo), announced SpaceX in an update to X.

The start on Sunday evening was the 48th Falcon 9 flight from 2025, and the 31st, which devoted himself to the construction of the Starlink mega -Megakonstellation. This network currently consists of more than 7,200 operational satellites and is constantly growing.

The first dedicated Starlink start took place in May 2019 (SpaceX launched two prototypes broadband factor in February 2018). According to astrophysicist and satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell, SpaceX has achieved almost 8,400 Starlink satellites for these 250 starts in the past six years.
