‘Star Trek’ Icon continues to live with the new room camp of Nichelle Nichols to inspire young women to target the stars

“Star Trek” Royalty Nichelle Nichols died in 2022, but her heritage remains.

Nichelle Nichols, for her memorable representation of the communication officer Lt. Nyota Uhura in “Star Trek: The Original Series” and six final Frontier feature films have now inspired a new educational amount that was picked up next year about Nichelle Nichols Foundation.

The Nichelle Nichols Space Camp starts from January 17th to 19th, 2026 at the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, and his upcoming class of students ready to take this brave step in the big ones as a preparation for a career as a future astronaut. From 1982 this world-famous program triggered the imagination and dreams of children by duplicating aspects of the strict astronaut training regime of NASA by evaluating management skills and teamwork.

Potential Star Voyagers, which occur from all 50 states, territories and 150 countries, will gather to reflect the optimistic ideals of “Star Treks” United Federation of Planets. These adventurous students will take part in a variety of team building lessons and activities, including simulated interplanetary life on Mars, Model Rocetry, Cubesat Construction, Vulkanian Philosophy, 3D printing, spacecy tests, artificial difficult strength experiences and a dizzying shoot in a multi-axis trainer.

Enriched by the committed programs of the space camp in the disciplines of space, aviation and robotics, experience for girls between the ages of 14 and 18 is offered to promote the interests of prospective space pioneering, aviation and spatial engineers and planetary scientists. This special weekend promotes the next generation of ambitious pioneers who deal for careers in steam (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics).
