In a Suffolk school, a Stem event organized 180 students from 10 schools.
The Royal Hospital School (RHS) in Holbrook organized the Stemfest event on Friday, March 14th.
At the event, students from five to eight years were attended by Holbrook Primary, Barnadiston Hall Prep, Beccles High School, St. Jo’s Prep, Kingswode, New Hall, Ipswich Academy and East Bergholt High.
They joined 150 RHS students from the seven, eight and nine years for a day of learning and problem solving.
The day showed a number of activities, including a Pi Day Maths Challenge, adaptation in nature, crumblets, scientific space, a technical challenge and a scientifically made simple conversation.
At the PI Day Maths Challenge, the students were created by PI Day wristbands and designed avatars personalized with Microsoft Ai.
The students took part in several activities (Image: Royal Hospital School) The adaptation in the natural activity under the direction of the geography department examined how the animals developed to adapt to their environments.
The students took part in the crumbletbots activity by dealing in the codebot balloon wars, where they designed and built defense mechanisms.
Pupils and drones were used in science space activity to navigate through challenges, and also included liquid nitrogen experiments as well as floating vehicles and liquid dynamic activities.
The technical challenge included pupils who built the strongest “bridge” on building the strongest paper bridge that could have most of the weight.
The simple lecture made by science was led by David Price and the title “A hard guide to engineering”.
Beverly Maloney, Stem director and caretaker at the Royal Hospital School, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to organize so many talented young heads in the Stemfest.
“The day was a wonderful opportunity for students to explore and work together through practical activities through practical activities in order to solve problems and recognize their curiosity.
