The York Leo Atang was followed in Anthony Joshua’s footsteps after signing professional terms with matchroom boxing.
The 18-year-old heavyweight sensation, which was trained by Ashley Martin from Legions Amateur Boxing Club, wrote a long-term deal, in which he later celebrates his professional debut under the guidance of the renowned promoter Eddie Hearn.
Atang was a fine winger of the Rugby league before turning his hand into boxing, but has developed into one of the hottest views of the country with its natural power, athletics and physical presence, as he rises through the amateur ranks.
