The British Tech company Filtronic (FTC.L) received its largest contract with Elon Musk’s SpaceX worth £ 47.3 million.
The defense and telecommunications equipment listed in London, manufacturer based in SEDGESSD, County Durham-, jumped up to 13% higher on Tuesday morning after the “Landmark” agreement was announced.
With the deal, it will provide its next generation of the next generation of the next generation that is a kind of radio frequency technology (RF) for powerful wireless communication.
According to Filtronic, the order is to increase your income in 2026-27 if it is to start sending product units as part of the contract and in 2027-28.
Nat Edington, Managing Director of Filtronic, said: “We are extremely proud to announce this groundbreaking contract, which not only sets a new commercial record for Filtron, but also reflects the success of our partnership with the world’s leading satellite company SpaceX and supports the Starlink constellation.”
The company continues to cement its role in the Starlink program from SpaceX, with Filtronic initially having a strategic partnership and a commercial agreement with SpaceX in April 2024.
In February, Filtronic announced a contract of 16.8 million GBP with the US aerospace company.
Starlink welcomed Filtronically as a “valuable partner” for SpaceX.

Filtronic, which was founded in 1977, specializes in the design and manufacture of the so-called “mission-critical” communication networks for aerospace, defense, telecommunications infrastructure and low ornament market markets.
It has two production facilities in County Durham and the USA as well as three engineering centers in the UK.
