“We found a dress and it was a vintage Christian Dior dress. It was bananas, ”says Bibb. The dress that came from the late 60s had to be tailored because it was several sizes too big. The day before shooting Bibb, she found it, and things were misleading during the changes.
“It was destroyed,” says Bibb. The show’s costume designer, Alix Friedberg, jumped into the campaign and soon knocked on Bibbs trailer door. Friedberg presented a silk peach dress that was signed inside Pierre Balmain.
“It was from 1969 and was once worn. I have the feeling that it was probably done for this person and it was the dress I was wearing, and it suited me perfectly, ”recalls Bibb.
When she got the invitation to get to Balmain’s show during the Paris Fashion Week, which was the first runway show in which she took part, it felt like a true full circle moment.
“I just feel so happy,” says Bibb. “It sounds so cheesy, but I do it, it is not lost for me, everything is currently.”
The “White Lotus” star, who flew to Paris in La on Sunday after visiting the Vanity Fair on Sunday, had a black pants, a black pure jacket with a shoulder pad and a leather belt belt as well as black and gold chain heels for the Balmain show.
“When I put it on, I said: ‘Oh, well, that’s it. It’s really easy, “says Bibb.” The pants are very comfortable, but the construction is so well done and so beautiful that they just feel strong. I feel strong and I feel powerful and I feel sexy and it is a suit, but it is female, but still male. I just loved it. “
Her other stop in Paris was a Roger Vivier event, to which she also wears Balmain – this time black lederhosen and a black leather jacket with golden buttons.
Bibb plays together with Carrie Coon and Michelle Monaghan in the third season of “The White Lotus”, of which the third episode on March 2. Since premiering the episode, the most exceeded scene has been the admission of her character Kate approval of being a churchgoer and possible Trump voters. Since then, he has since collected the episode at the Vanity Fair Party, BIBB has since collected from online recording how much discussion there is about the scene.
“Microphone [White, the show’s creator] Writes scenes that are provocative and confronted. And what I find so interesting, especially in this scene, is that he wrote it in 2022 … And so I somehow start Mike White about this scary ability to have his thumb on the pulse of the world in a way and know what will be in the zeitgeist, ”says Bibb. “I remember when we even filmed it in 2024, I said:” Oh, is that relevant? “I remember that Michelle and Carrie and I talk and go:” Oh god, I wonder if the show is in a way dated because it was not relevant. “But I think the greater relevance is Mike’s comment about how they love friends if they have different opinions that differ from their difference, and what this means in a friendship.
“If you look at these three women first, you think: ‘Oh, ok. I know who they are. ‘But with every episode you start to withdraw the layers and you start to see in Mike White -Mode, it is not what you say, ”says Bibb. “It is what you don’t say.”
