Tottenham rival Manchester United for Bryan Mbumo Transfer after the decision of Thomas Frank

Tottenham is ready to compete with Manchester United in the race for Brentford wingers Bryan Mbumo.

United is working on signing Mbumo and has already rejected a bid this summer.

This offer, which was assumed that he was £ 45 million in advance with a further £ 10 million GBP in add-on, was not missing what Brentford would accept.

The talks continued, but Tottenham developed this summer as a candidate for Mbumo.

Spurs has just appointed Mbumo’s former boss Thomas Frank as the new manager after paying Brentford £ 10 million to stop him as a replacement of Posetecoglou.

Frank wants to bring Mbumo to Tottenham and Spurs have expressed Brentford an interest in a deal.

The 25-year-old previously declared the wish to join United, and it remains to be seen whether Spurs’s interest can change this.

Tottenham could offer Mbumo Champions League football and the chance of working under Frank again next season.

The Cameroon internationally flourished under Frank’s instructions in Brentford and scored 20 goals in the Premier League this season.

United has already strengthened her attack by signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves for over 60 million pounds, but head coach Ruben Amorim will want further additions.

It can require a similar fee for Land Mbumo, while United also has to agree to personal conditions with the winger, while some reports claim that he wanted £ 250,000 a week.

Frank confirmed last month when he was still in Brentford that the club could sell Mbumo this summer, but warned that it would not be cheap.

“I am the head coach, I want my best players to stay forever,” Frank told Sky Sports News.

“I know that Bryan is very happy to be here in Brentford. He flourishes, is doing well and plays fantastic. What happens in the future? I don’t know.

“I said many times: we are a sales club. But at the same time we have to reinforce that there are 10 clubs in the world that do not sell clubs.

“So if the right price – and that becomes expensive – comes, of course, then I am sure that the club is open.

“But I am very happy that he is here and I am convinced that Bryan will still be happy here to play football.”
