Gyokoker was often tilted as a potential goal for United when the summer transfer window opens. United currently has Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee as a Center Forward Options, with the former Starlet Chido Obi of the Arsenal Academy in recent days.
On Sunday, Sporting Lisbon won a 3-1 win over Casa Pia in the Primeira Liga Clash in the Estadio Municipal de Rio Maior. Gyokeres scored two goals in the game, including one from the penalty point, and sent a clear news to United.

Gyokeres scored a whopping 39 goals in 40 games in 40 games this season in 40 games and is probably the subject of intensive transfer speculations in summer. United was strongly connected to the Swedish international in January, especially after Ruben Amorim’s appointment as head coach of the club.
At the beginning of this season, Amorim trained Gyokoker as a sports manager during his time and brought the striker from Coventry City to the club in 2023. Soon after his arrival in Old Trafford, Amorim was asked about the possibility that the opportunity to sign from sport players and showed that he was not selected in January.
“I’m not going to [sign Sporting players] I said that in January, “said Amorim.
“I don’t know about the summer. The first point is to hold on to the summer. Sporting players are very good players, I don’t know, we will see. I know the phenomenon of football, especially in England, and I know how things change.”
In various reports it was claimed that Gyokoker had a release clause of € 100 million (84 million pounds) in his contract at Sporting. However, there were some suggestions that the striker could leave around 68.5 million GBP for a fee of around 68.5 million.
