Warning to disturb the rail disorders issued

The London Euston Station should close on the Easter weekend and disturb the travel plans for thousands of Londoners.

Passengers traveling between Euston and Scotland on the main coast of the west coast were traveled to the banking holiday before or after the holiday weekend. Planned caledonian sleeper services begin and end in the London King’s Cross Station.

The closure is due to the £ 86 million technical work at the station. This includes the renewal of switches and intersections as well as the improvement of route drainage.

The engineers will close the connection of a new rail goods to the West Coast main line in Northampton on the Easter weekend.

“During the Osterbank holidays there is a considerable amount of work to improve the reliability of the railway for both passengers and freight,” said Amanda Webster-UZ, head of the Network Rail station.

“While the railway is closed to Euston, we also take the opportunity to improve the train station itself, including improving our signage and improving our toilet facilities for customers.

“We encourage passengers to check their trips in advance and travel before or after the Easter weekend.”

The closure of the station influences the passengers.

When will the Euston station be closed?

The Euston Station is closed between Saturday, April 19 and Monday, April 21st. All lines of and Euston are closed.

A reduced service will operate on Friday, April 18. The passengers were recommended that the trains could be busy on Thursday, April 17th.

A normal service will be resumed on Tuesday, April 22nd.

Which other London travel disorders are planned for the holiday of Easter Bank?

  • The Elizabeth line will have a reduced service between Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 4 and Maidenhead between Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21. The stations Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Hanwell are closed.

  • There will be no southeastern services in London Victoria. The southern services of and Victoria are carried out with a reduced schedule

  • London Paddington will have disturbing work.
