Ranger’s winger Vaclav Cerny is at the center of a police investigation after spraying Celtic fans with water that celebrates the old company Derby winner of his team.
The police and security had to enter on Sunday when home fans reacted to Hamza Igaman’s late goal in his team’s 3-2 victory against his Scottish champion with anger at Cerny’s wear.
Police now has now confirmed that civil servants have “inquired” regarding information about information that was received after the incident. Rangers were addressed for a comment.
Sky Sports Cameras picked up Cerny and helped to promote his club in the quarter -finals of the Europa League.
The game on Sunday brought Rangers to a half -time leader with two goals with the kind permission of Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande, only for Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate to pull the Celtic level in front of Igaman’s late heroic heroism.
After a 3-0 victory at Ibrox in January it was Rangers’ second derby victory, but they still left 13 points behind their arch-rivals and the Scottish primeership executives. Rangers lost the first old company Derby of season 3-0 in Celtic Park and was beaten in December in the final of the Scottish League Cup in December after an exciting 3: 3 draw in Hampden Park due to punishments.
The game took place on Sunday three days after they had a fight against Fenerbahce and won a penalty shot at Ibrox to reach the quarter -finals. Cerny, who switched a season song from Wolfsburg to Rangers last summer, had a 3-1 win against Jose Mourinho’s men in the first leg in Istanbul last week.
But Fenerbahce roared back to win the second leg 2-0 and bring the tie to a shooting. Rangers will play Bilbao in the quarter -finals next month and could compete against Manchester United in the semi -finals.
